able creator's passion #4 (Customer Support)
Instilling the voice of customers into the team mindset
As a customer support manager, I am driven to help people like my father who must wonder where to sit at restaurants as his audibility declines.
My responsibility covers not only the inquiry responses but also running a monthly hearing test of able devices to offer customers chance to experience our products and services while I share their feedbacks with my team.
It is our policy to create products together with our customers.
Q1. How did you get involved in the development of "αble"?
I've been friends with Kubo, the president of the company, since we were originally graduate students,
and from 2017 to 2018, the accounting advisor I was involved with freecle Inc.
I had been interested in "αble" since then, but after seeing my father, who is deaf in one ear, buy a $5,000 hearing aid and frequently complain about howling metallic sounds and the hassle of going to adjust it,
I realized the social significance of "αble", and in August 2018 I joined the company.
Q2. What are your thoughts on this project?
I'm not an engineer, so I can't make
We make it a rule to share customer feedback within the company so that each member of the team can engage in "manufacturing" from the customer's perspective.
At times, we plan listening sessions so that our customers can experience our products and services under development and share their impressions.
Seeing our customers hold and operate αble products in their hands helps us discover areas for improvement that cannot be confirmed by email or phone calls alone.
Q3. What are your goals for the future?
We want to continue to be the closest partner to our customers.
I believe it is impossible to solve all of the world's hearing problems with αble alone, but we will continue to do so in the future.
I'm glad I consulted with Mr. Komoto (freecle Inc.).
I will do my best to make as many people as possible think so!
"αble" creator's motto: "We are together with our customers"
“αble series” is the outcome of work we put together with our customers.
We think, listen and develop together with our customers from the early design phase.
